Abstract :
This paper is a transcribed thirty-one-paged notebook of a compilation of three reports: (1) the property survey of the Spaniard Don Senen Palao, (2) notes of Fr. Julian Malumbres, OP and (3) letters of three surviving friars that left the Philippines after the Philippine Revolution of 1898. An English translation is provided and annotations are used as cross-references into contemporary works and later researches to further enrich and simplify the referencing of the information provided. The data on the ecclesiastical properties
are tabulated for easier reading. A brief description of them and attached maps (scaled and unscaled) related to the towns are mentioned, as well as supplemental photographs to show a glimpse of the totality of the narrative of the notebook of Fr. Malumbres. This also opens the opportunities to revisit Cagayan due to the historical, architectural, and archaeological interest the notebook holds to further understand the scope of the Dominican properties in the province until 1898.

Abstract :
Marriage is a covenant, an irrevocable sacred bond which establishes the totality of conjugal love. In a marriage between a Muslim man and a Catholic woman, the differences of faith, the conflict of laws, and the spiritual education of children are canonical issues and
sources of tension which could ultimately disrupt the totality of conjugal living. The premarital period for the Muslim man and the Catholic woman offers them precious time to discern their marital decision and vocation for marriage. Some of these essential elements for discernment from a canonical viewpoint have been raised in this article.

Abstract :
In 2021, many countries in different continents commemorated the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the world by the Magellan-Elcano expedition. This is a great achievement of humanity that many people wanted to remember and draw inspiration and wisdom. The Philippines actively participated and spearheaded numerous activities despite the problems brought about by the Covid 19 pandemic. The commemorations were led by the National Quincentennial Committee (NQC), in partnership with the private institutions and international organizations.
This paper narrates and explains the activities and projects undertaken by the NQC and its partners. It discusses the values, themes, perspectives, and advocacies that were developed in the course of the commemorations. Central in its discussion is the recognition and promotion of Lapulapu as a national hero. There was also a deliberate attempt on the part of NQC to correct the long standing prejudice that Filipinos were uncivilized and savages before the coming of the Europeans. The paper ends with a discussion of the activities of the Philippine Catholic Church in the relation to the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the introduction of Christianity in the Philippines.

Abstract :
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, online Masses served as an important pastoral tool that enabled the Catholic Church to provide spiritual sustenance to many of the faithful in the face of the lockdowns and restrictions imposed by the health crisis. At the same time, important questions surfaced regarding its validity as a form of liturgical participation and whether it provides actual spiritual benefit. With the continuing improvement in the global health situation and the transition from online Masses to in-person attendance, this study attempts to evaluate the experience of online Masses from a post-pandemic perspective and assess whether they ought to have a place in the liturgical new normal.

Abstract :
Different luminaries have been widely used, and the implications and interpretations of the Greek term logos have been studied. Ancient Greek philosophy and Early Christian theology have tackled the relevance of logos in studying reality. The word logos means “word,” “reason,” “thought,” and “plan.” Some see logos as providence, nature, god, soul, and transcendent. In comparison, some point out logos as the connection between rational discourse and the rational structure of the universe. Hence, it can be viewed from a
perspective in which the “word” has a power that contributes to the interplay of the cosmos. This idea also plays a significant role in the prologue of the Gospel of John as it is used to understand the pre-existence of Jesus and the principle of God as active in creation, cosmos, and divine plan of human salvation. This paper aims to expose the development of the Greek term “logos” from ancient Greek Philosophy to early Christianity. The concepts of Heraclitus, Philo of Alexandria, and the early Christian writings will be discussed.

Abstract :
This article proposes an early building history of the parish church (now cathedral) of Maasin, Southern Leyte, and its related structures. These are now found in various parts of the town, but within the bounds of two small rivers. The church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption, whose early image of wood is the subject of the second part of this work. The statue, with large sections of its original polychromy intact, is one of the better preserved images of its kind still in the possession of its original owner.
